The Course

The 1.35 kilometer course was tough - the hills and turns added a challenge to the event. Thousands of spectators lined the streets as the course went through some of the area's best hot spots and "watering holes."

The course began and ended at the intersection of West Liberty and Main Street. It started by heading north on Main Street and then west on Washington Ave to 1st Street. From there it headed south to Liberty Street, where it headed east to Ashley Street. This is where it headed south again until hitting Jefferson Street going east to Main Street. Cyclists then sped north on Main Street to cross the finish line.

The Kids Races were free and were conducted on a shortened version of the race course. Children ages 9 and below were invited to participate in the Kids Races - tricycles, training wheels and two-wheeled bikes were all welcomed. Safety and fun were the focus!
