Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Kids Race

Tricycles, training wheels and two-wheeled bikes were all welcomed at the FREE Kids Race for children ages 9 and below.

The races were held at 1:35 p.m., starting with heat 1 and working through to heat 4. Registration began at 10 a.m. at the corner of Fulton Street and Ionia Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids.

Kids Race Staging
Heat 1: 7–9 yr. old (1 lap)

Heat 2: 5–7 yr. old (1 lap)

Heat 3: 4–5 yr. old (1 lap)

Heat 4: 4 & under and kids with tricycles or training wheels (150M)

All Kids Race participants were required to wear a helmet. We gave away free helmets to the first 300 children who needed one.
