Priority Health to Offer Women’s Cycling Clinic
Women new to the sport or veterans welcome at free, interactive event.
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – July 29, 2008) Priority Health will offer a Women’s Cycling Clinic leading up to the 2nd Annual Priority Health Grand Cycling Classic presented by Spectrum Health. The free clinic is open to women who are novice or recreational cyclists, or those involved in competitive racing. The interactive workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the David D. Hunting Branch YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Drive).
“We want to offer women the resources they need to take full advantage of the sport,” says Dawn Lovejoy, manager, Priority Health Women’s Cycling Team. “Those who attend will have the opportunity to learn from area professionals and network with other women who share their same interests.”
Participants are invited to bring their bikes to practice changing their own bike tire as well as take advantage of a complimentary bike evaluation. Workshop topics will also include nutrition for optimum performance, injury prevention and gear profiles. A roundtable discussion will complete the evening’s activities.
